feelin' fruity

Another still life study for y'all. Learnt that orange gets muddy very quickly when you add black... needed to use reds and purples instead.

Wow dude... great seeing the process. It's nice that you do each fruit full on first, then tackle the next.

Yummy! Looks very well done man--!

Ever thought of doing the still life version of the aftermath. i.e. Bitemarks!, the grapes would be gone, half the mandarins pitted and bellied, etc. etc. :P

Awesome studies Carl. Would love to see the full res version just for the digital strokes.

Nice!

hey abz: yeah.. it's a different approach then I'm used to. I usually do a block-in of the whole thing.

thanks luke... I still can't resist polishing, as much as I want to be an impressionist.

Cheers anth!

I'll mail you the grapes Niall. :D

Ed, you've got my next painting already in mind. I've got an urge to paint an half peeled lemon for some reason.

Hey Tel, not really a marketable skill.. more just practicing.
